Sitting here at my desk looking at my computer, I realized something. All of the tools I need to do any number of creative, world-changing things are literally right here in front of me.
Yep. Welcome to Macintosh.
And welcome to iOS, Android, Linux and yes, also welcome to Windows.
All the tools you need, available from anywhere at anytime. Welcome to the new World Wide Web, welcome to 2011. http://flpbd.it/87SI
The guys at AnandTech are benchmarking the new Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime (what a long name…) and the results shows that the little beast (with its Tegra 3 heart) slightly beats Apple’s iPad 2.

But in the GPU’s benchmarks the A5 SoC still beats the Tegra 3 SoC. I wonder how did PowerVR to make such a powerful GPU that, one year after launch, still beats the most powerful mobile GPUs:

You’ll find all the benchmark results and a complete review of the new Asus tablet at AnandTech.
Hey! How have you been? This was a long time not updating this blog :-)
Today I want to write about Junk Jack, a 8bit-like game by the guys at Pixbits. Junk Jack is a kind of mix between a 2D platformer with the concept of Sandbox saw in Minecraft.
As in Minecraft, you can play a survival mode or a more peaceful mode. In survival mode there will be monsters that hunt you at night. Frightened? Go peaceful :-)

As you can see, this monsters are not so scary :-)
Graphics are lovely pixelated 8bit-like, so it is the music and sound effects (well, the music’s not pixelated at all :)). The only problem I have with the graphics are the tiny inventory icons, sometimes I don’t know what I’m looking at and I also tend to mistake one material for other, as some of them are very similar.
I was very skeptical about the game’s playability, but I’m amazed at how you can extend playability on a 2D sandbox game. I played for more than 3 hours before realizing that I got addicted to Junk Jack.
The game has a day and night cycle, so you’re only attacked by monsters at night. During the day is recommended to get resources and build your fortress house before the sun sets or, at least, dig a hole with the shovel and put torches inside it, then close again the hole with you inside and wait ‘til morning :-)
You can build lots of different objects just being a bit creative with the materials. It’s highly recommended to follow the tutorials to know how you can start having tools.

Is your house this awesome?

Yes, that’s a computer!

So this is how the room of a goth construction worker looks?
Finally, the game has Gamecenter integration, 3 differents world slots and a complete backup&restore solution.
All the screenshots were taken from the Pixbits blog and forum, go check’em out! Also, if you want to buy this game you can do it from the AppStore: Junk Jack.
Here you have, just baked Ice Cream Sandwich screenshots for Gmail, Email and Calendar. Via Android Police.
Let’s start with Gmail:

I love the bigger typography and the simplicity. It looks a lot like the new Gmail theme.
Email, just like Gmail:

And finally Calendar:

In this case, I prefer the HoneyComb one.
Disappointed? Be not! iPhone 4S beats every other phone on the market, see some of the results:
